Brain Training + Short Intensive Therapy Rotations = Meaningful Progress
When children receive support that prepares the brain and nervous system first, skill development often accelerates. PDC therapists and families have seen significant gains in a short period of time through the Foundations Program. Listening and regulation training work at a foundational level that traditional speech and occupational therapy alone cannot reach—making learning, regulation, and communication easier to capture.
Foundational Listening and Regulation Training
Why It Works: When the brain processes sound and language more efficiently, learning speeds up. At the same time, a regulated nervous system helps children feel calmer, safer, and more ready to engage with the world around them.
When these systems are functioning well, children often show improved attention, stronger communication, better emotional regulation, and greater ability to participate in therapy, school, play, and daily routines. Supporting these foundational systems can unlock progress that traditional therapy alone sometimes struggles to reach.
Therapy Intensives
Why It Works: Focused bursts of therapy capitalize on readiness and momentum. Intensives consist of 10 consecutive therapy sessions over two weeks and are offered on a rotational model—10 days on, approximately every 12 weeks. These sessions are designed to deliver high-impact gains without requiring long-term weekly commitment from families.
PDC Playhouse (Coming Soon)
PDC Playhouse is a three-month coaching experience designed to help families turn everyday moments into powerful opportunities for connection, learning, and growth.
Through guided parent coaching inspired by play-based developmental models and positive discipline strategies, families learn how to support communication, regulation, and joyful interaction right at home. Our therapists work alongside parents to build practical skills that strengthen relationships, reduce daily struggles, and help children engage more fully with the world around them.
The goal is simple: strong families, strong relationships, and finding the fun together.
Skills Groups – Silver Spring
Why It Works: Skills grow faster when practiced in real-life settings. Our social and skills groups allow children to apply newly developing abilities in a supportive, joyful peer environment—building confidence, independence, and connection.
